High speed drills have become a standard of care in neurosurgery to provide safe, swift and controlled access to the cranial vault and skull base in order to approach the neural structures within. The precision and high level of control over the drill also offers benefits in many other areas where fine bone dissection is required such as spinal surgery, ENT surgery, maxillo-facial surgery and some orthopaedic procedures. The training under this module shall incorporate planning techniques and tips for the usage of high-speed pneumatic drill with elaborate training to ensure a better instrument-tissue manipulation techniques.
